Robert's Formula (eg, from NF Formulations in Portland, OR) works well to soothe and nourish the intestinal mucosa.
Acupuncture and homeopathy can be curative.
Discovering and respecting food intolerances is essential.
Beware of prednisone.
Release anger if appropriate.

If I may I would like to butt in here and say that every person I have ever seen with Crohn's has had a history of some kind of mental abuse and the common denominator seems to be resentment. It is not without merit that the seat of that passion <resentment> exists in the stomach and intestine.

In Chinese medicine Crohn's dz is a Lower Invading Spleen/Stomach syndrome where stress/anger/resentment/frustration/suppressed emotions spill over into the digestive tract. The process of harmonizing the Liver and Spleen/Stomach and Dredging the Liver/Releasing Liver Constraint usually brings up anger. I have seen many patients with such conditions recall and/or resolve a history of abuse...physical, sexual, mental, verbal...as part of their healing process.
