I missed the original question but...
A mollis may be substituted for A vulgaris and it is, perhaps, more easily available in gardening catalogues. A arvensis, called Parsley Piert, is quite a different herb. This herb is now called Aphanes arvensis to underline the difference.

[I use all Alchemillas I see - after all, they're named Alchemilla vulgaris sensu lato, which means "in a wider sense". So does it look like your usual run-of-the-mill lady's mantle, compleat with dewdrop at the center of the leaf? Go ahead and use it. -Henriette, Feb02]
