I think your lost book is "HYGIEIA A Woman's Herbal"Jeannine Parvati. There is also several books written by Susun Weed "Herbs for the Childbearing Year", "Menopausal Years"; Joy Gardner "Healing the Family, Pregnancy, Birth and Children's Ailments" "Healing Yourself During Pregnancy"; altho not specifically for women, Michael Moore's books have a great deal of experiencial herbal info , "Medicinal Plants of the Desert and Canyon West", "Medicinal Plants of the Mountain West" , "Los Remedios" "Medicinal Plants of the North West" . Alot of books about herbs, especially dealing with women's ailments report historic useages without a complete set of instructions , this can be challengeing for someone who has experience to decipher, but on the practical side for the novice they are nearly useless. When looking for a book on herbs consider is the author a practioner? How long have they been around ? Are there clear instrucions? Do they promise cure-alls?

As well as the other books mentioned in replies to this query, I would add Herbal Healing for Women by Rosemary Gladstar. The topics are presented well and are covered comprehensively well. I liked the book so well that I purchased her herbology correspondence course.

I agree. Rosemary's book is nice. I just saw a new book in the bookstore by Ann McIntyre, who's a British practicing herbalist (M.N.I.H.M.), devoted to women's issues called "A Woman's Herbal" or "An Herbal for Women" something like that. It looked very extensive and very pretty (lots of color pictures) and it was very pricey. Check it out.
