Dried Bitter Orange Peel, in No. 10 powder 20.00 | 4 ounces
Dried Lemon Peel, in No. 10 powder 5.00 | 1 ounce
Cloves, freshly powdered 2.50 | ½ ounce
Tincture of Lemon 5.00 | 1 fl. ounce
Tincture of Orange 5.00 | 1 fl. ounce
Alcohol, a sufficient quantity.
Diluted Chloroform Water to 100.00 | to 20 fl. ounces

Macerate the powdered cloves in 20 (4 fluid ounces) of the alcohol for twelve hours, filter through cotton wool and pass through the marc sufficient alcohol to make the filtrate measure 20 (4 fluid ounces) Add the tinctures and set aside. Mix the other powders and follow out the macero-expression process with diluted chloroform water, adding the mixed tinctures to the reserved portion.

A product closely resembling compound infusion of orange peel is obtained by diluting 1 part of this preparation with 7 parts of distilled water.

Dose.—2 to 4 mils (½ to 1 fluid drachm).

Tincture of Orange 5.00 | 1 fl. ounce
Alcohol 22.50 4 ½ fl. ounces
Diluted Chloroform Water to 100.00 | to 20 fl. ounces

Prepare by the repercolation process.

A product closely resembling infusion of orange peel is obtained by diluting 1 part of this preparation with 7 parts of distilled water.

Dose.—2 to 4 mils (½ to 1 fluid drachm).
