Acid Potassium Tartrate 0.45 | 40 grains
Citric Acid 0.08 | 7 grains
Refined Sugar 5.00 | 1 ounce
Oil of Lemon 0.03 | 3 minims
Tincture of Lemon 0.52 | 50 minims
Distilled Water to 100.00 | to 20 fl. ounces

Dissolve the solids in 90 (18 fluid ounces) of boiling distilled water; allow to cool, strain, and add the oil of lemon previously dissolved in the tincture of lemon, and make up to the required volume with distilled water. If desired, the citric acid, oil of lemon, and tincture of lemon may be replaced by the juice and outer rind of lemons.
