Gelatin 15.00 | 3 ounces
Distilled Water 35.00 | 7 fl. ounces
Zinc Oxide, finely sifted 15.00 | 3 ounces
Glycerin 35.00 | 7 fl. ounces

Soften the gelatin by soaking in the water, add the glycerin, heat on a water-bath until the gelatin is dissolved, stir in the zinc oxide, and pour into a flat dish or tray to solidify.

When required for use, the paste is melted on a water-bath and applied to the skin with a stiff brush; the part may then be covered with cotton wool or lint.
