59. Anacardiaceae.—Cashew family.

Trees or shrubs with gummy, milky or resinous juice, often poisonous. Leaves usually compound. Fruit drupaceous, not infrequently having a strong turpentine odor and taste. The seeds of many species yield an abundance of bland oil.
