542. TRIOSTEUM.—FEVER ROOT. BASTARD IPECAC. The root of Trios'teum perfolia'tum Linné, common in most parts of the United States. (See Conspectus.) Cathartic and emetic in large doses. Dose: 15 to 30 gr. (1 to 2 Gm.).
