Spilanthes. Spilanthes Acmella Murr. (S. oleracea L.) Para Cress. Cresson de Para, Fr. Parakresse, G. (Fam. Compositae.)—A plant of India, used as a masticatory for toothache; when chewed it produces a copious salivation. (A. J. P., xliv, 323.)
