Stylophorum. Stylophorum diphyllum (Michx.) Nuttall. (Fam. Papaveraceae.)—This plant, commonly known as "Celandine Poppy," is found in damp woods from western Pennsylvania to Wisconsin and Tennessee. In its foliage and flowers it resembles Chelidonium majus. According to E. Schmidt, the root contains chelidonine, with a second alkaloid closely related to, if not identical with, chelerythrine. (A.
