Hemorrhages.
Nasal:—Plug or hold the anterior nares. Then have the patient lean forward with the head down. A clot soon fills the cavity and stops the flow in all but hemophiliacs.
Post Partum:—Introduce a speculum and grasp the cervix with a pair of strong vulselum forceps. Make strong traction downward. This generally stops the flow while you prepare for the pack or for local applications.
